09 May 2660 Highland Drive Sugar House Heights
The Planning Commission approved this project in September 2018. Because of an error in calculating the front yard setback, the second building on the street had to be redesigned. At least one of the houses is built. Here is the staff report outlining the changes from what was originally approved. The applicant wants to change what was originally approved. The changes are outlined in the report = adding a pitched roof, a semi-enclosed porch with slab on grade, changing the configuration of the windows, increased use of wood siding, and additional lighting fixtures.
This will be on the Planning Commission agenda on May 11 at 5:30 p.m. Here is a link to the meeting and instructions on how to appear before the Commission. If you cannot appear in person, you can send an email to Wayne Mills [email protected] and he will forward your comments to the Commission.
ORIGINAL PETITION
The Planning Division has received a Planned Development petition for four proposed free-standing single-unit dwellings with a private driveway. This is on a single parcel located at 2660 S Highland Drive. The parcel is .46 of an acre and is currently zoned single-family R-2. This is a Planned Development because it involves the creation of two (2) new lots without frontage on a public street. At this time, the applicant has not requested relief from any other requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. The project will be known as Sugar House Heights.
