East-West Water Line Project

Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities (SLCDPU) is constructing a new large diameter water line from Highland Drive to 900 East. In June, crews completed work on 900 East. On July 2nd, crews will pave 900 East and open the full roadway. Crews will work in the Forest Dale Golf Course parking lot until the week of July 12th.

Beginning on July 6th, 2021, Elizabeth Street will be closed from Warnock Avenue to Parkway Avenue to install a large diameter water line. Alternative access to the area will be available from Parkway Avenue and Whitlock Avenue. This closure will be in place until September 2021. Please see the closure map with detours and timelines below.

Elizabeth Street Temporary Roadway Closure Impacts
- Work on the east side of the Forest Dale Golf Course will start on Tuesday, July 13th.
- Construction activities will occur Monday through Friday between 7 A.M. to 8 P.M.
- There will be open trenching throughout the southern portion of the Wood Hollow parking area.
- Drivers are encouraged to use Whitlock Avenue or Parkway Avenue as alternative access routes.
- Residents can expect increased noise, dust, and vibrations.
- Please follow all posted signage and detour routes to ensure the safety of yourself, other drivers, and the crews.
