January 2017 Chair Report

So much for a quiet Holiday season!

The homeless resource centers have been revealed and one is to be located on 653 E. Simpson Ave. We have compiled many community questions and comments. The Mayor’s office and district representatives will address these questions at our next Community Council meeting.

I realize that many people are feeling frustrated, confused and angry. Let’s try to make the best of the situation and come together as a group to discuss implications of this decision and help forge a plan for moving forward.

Please come to our Community Council meeting January 4, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Sprague Library. If you can’t attend, you can check us out on sugarhousecouncil.org and fill out a comment card. Your input is vital for successful implementation of these resource centers.
