November 7th Election:
Election day is approaching for District 5 and District 7. Please get out, mail in, vote online…Just participate! District 5 candidates: Erin Mendenhall and George Chapman. District 7 candidates: Amy Fowler and Abe Smith.
Mulch Opportunity:
Salt Lake City is offering an extra brown garbage can for mulch. Information is found here http://www.slcgreen.com/seasonal-curbside-services
Volunteers Opportunities:
JOIN THE SUGAR HOUSE PARK BOARD! Sugar House Park is governed by a board of volunteers from the community. The board has an opening and is looking for interested, qualified applicants. If you would like to help keep Sugar House Park great, please send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] by November 1, 2017.

CIP (Capital Improvement Projects):
Need a new sidewalk in your neighborhood? Apply for a CIP. CIP projects include streets, parks, playgrounds, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, public facility improvements, etc. Capital projects are typically over $50,000 and have a life expectancy of over 5 years. If you are a resident in SLC and interested in applying you must contact Holly Draney by 3:00 pm Monday, November 13, 2017. CIP Applications are due Thursday, November 30, 2017 by 11:59 p.m.
Parleys Trail Update:
The Parleys Trail has officially opened. Take a ride, run or walk from Tanner Park to 900 West.
Location of the next SHCC meeting:
Legacy Village is kind enough to host us again in November. We will be meeting on November 1st from 7-9 pm on the 5th floor in the Fairmont Room. The address for Legacy Village is 1212 East Wilmington Ave.
