10th and Elm (preliminary name)

The 10th and Elm Sugar House development will be home to new, high-end, centrally located apartments focused towards health, wellness and outdoor living.  This unique project will provide ground-floor walk-up residential units along 1000 East and along Elm Avenue.  This project is also fortunate enough to adapt, preserve and re-use the Victorian home and landscaped area on site, in order to help promote the exciting connection to the residential neighbors to the South, while also preserving the rich history the house has to offer for the Sugar House community and its future patrons.

Here is the staff report, which includes detailed plans.  Here are more specific plans dated 6/28/2023 that detail the change in sidewalk widths and setbacks, comparing staying as CSHBD2 or rezoning to CSHBD1.

This has been on our LUZ committee and SHCC agenda many times.  Here is the letter we wrote to Planning.  This was approved by the Planning Commission July 26. Go here to read the staff report. Because there is a rezone in this project, it will go on to the City Council for final approval.
