The SHCC and neighboring community councils will again partner together to host a Mayoral and City Council District 6 debate. We will be alerting people mostly by facebook so please take a moment and like our page to stay on top of issues.
Summer is wrapping up, but we still have so much going on in our area. I have been out riding my bike along Parley’s Trail and have thoroughly enjoyed the new connectivity of neighborhoods.
Parley’s Trail is an effort to connect the Bonneville Shoreline Trail to the Jordan River Parkway. The Salt Lake City portion is nearly complete, but work still continues on the section from 1700 E to Tanner Park. Salt Lake City Engineering should be sending out the majority of this section to bid with work commencing in the fall. This trail is a great amenity for residents to more easily enjoy walking or bike riding without being alongside traffic.
Don’t miss out on the remaining events as the Sugar House Farmers Market continues every Friday evening through mid October. The Monday night Food Truck League events continue as well.
A lot is still going on and we have a great community that few others can boast.
