SUGAR HOUSE COMMUNITY COUNCIL BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
Meeting Minutes – January 4, 2012
The regular meeting of the Sugar House Community Council was held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 7:00pm, at the Sprague Library. Trustees in attendance were Dolores Donohoo, Michael G. Kavanagh, Annalisa Holcombe, Joedy Lister, Robin Bastar, Sally Barraclough, David Mulder, Amy Barry, Judi Short, Christopher Thomas, Cabot Nelson, Rawlins Young, Ruth Price, Grace Sperry, and Larry Migliaccio. Christopher Thomas served as chair and Cabot Nelson as secretary. The trustees noted as excused were Sheila O’Driscoll, James Brown, Benny Keele, Laurie Bray.
Call to order at 7:03pm. The minutes of the December meeting were approved.
Cabot Nelson as secretary noted the following petitions were expiring: Derek Payne in January, Grace Sperry and Michael G. Kavanagh in February.
Robin Bastar gave his treasurer report.
Committee reports
Judi Short reported for the Land Use and Zoning committee.
Sally Barraclough reported for the Parks, Open Space, and Trails committee.
Dave Mulder reported for the Business Committee regarding the Southeast Furniture compass.
Community groups and projects
Judi Short offered an update on the Streetcar planning and construction.
Judi Short noted that the SL Community Network did not hold a meeting.
Community and City Presentations
Det. Boelter, SLPD, gave a report on area crime.
Michael G. Kavanagh noted that the business scheduled for the spotlight did not attend.
Shawn McDonough gave a report from the Mayor’s Office.
Instead of Dolly Rauh, library staffer “J.D.” reported on library events.
