Text Amendment to Modify Buffer Prohibitions

UPDATE: On March 12, 2025, the Planning Commission reviewed this request and approved it. This will be forwarded to the City Council for final approval.

The Planning Commission has asked to review the land uses that are, or should be, subject to the 1000′ prohibition from residential zoning districts. They are also asking whether other uses should be prohibited, clarifying whether the distance applies to the property or boundary of a use, and other related provisions that may help protect the health and safety of residents.
