SHCC LUZ REPORT 2025 MAY

SHCC LUZ REPORT 2025 MAY

At our April 21 Land Use and Zoning, we discussed the Walkability  Study the city has recently completed, done by the SLC Planning Department. Here is a link to the plan. And, Sarah Young, City Council District 7 discussed the new proposed zones for Sugar House MU8  and MU 11, and how they differ from our current CSHBD 1 and CSHBD2 zones. Here is the description you have seen before. This will be on the City Council Formal Agenda Meeting Tuesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. https://www.slc.gov/calendar/events/city-council-meeting-05-06-2025/.  NOTE: This agenda is not yet posted but will be soon.  Directions for how to participate are on this page, you can speak in person, or send an email to the Council.  We do not know if they will vote on this item on the 6th or at a later meeting.

We also know that the plans for the Fairmont Senior Affordable Housing plans at 2157 S 1100 East, have been given to the planning department, so we should be seeing those details at a future LUZ meeting. We originally saw the first drawings a few months ago at SHCC.  There will be two separate buildings, and they won’t be built at the same time.

At this point, we have no agenda for Monday, May 19, but if something comes up, I will send out the usual agenda a few days before the meeting.
