SH LUZ REPORT 2016 March

SH LUZ REPORT 2016 March

On the March 9 Planning Commission Agenda, there was a Master Plan and Zoning Map Amendment at approximately 1964 S 900 E – A request by Cottonwood Residential to amend the master plan and zoning map designation of eight properties near the intersection of Ramona Avenue and 900 E.  The Planning Commission unanimously denied the request.  We recently received word from Salt Lake City Planning that the developers have withdrawn this request.  We don’t know if they might develop the parcels  that they already own, without asking for a rezone.

1930 S 1100 East – There is a demolition of the building where the Red Cross used to be. There is a commercial building permit for this address [BLD2016-00395].  It is for demolition of 70% of the load bearing walls, 100% of the roof and then the structure is to be rebuilt with offices.
FOOTHILL DRIVE IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY  . The planners report “We received strong attendance and many comments at the open house held on March 31st.  We have put all of the open house displays on the web site to provide those that were unable to attend an opportunity to view the information as well as provide input.  In this “online workshop,” you can find an overview of the project, the draft Corridor Goals, and an opportunity to leave feedback for the project team.
