Sugar House Hotel

Sugar House Hotel

UPDATE #5 This will NOT be on the October 8 meeting.  Apparently there was an error in the noticing, we expect it may be on the Oct 22 meeting, but that is not final.  We will provide instructions on how to attend and speak to the Commission about this item if you wish, when we have the staff report. UPDATE #4 Here are a few more comments I have received.

You can continue to send in comments up until 5 p.m. October 8. Send them directly to me, [email protected], and the planner [email protected].

UPDATE #2 – HERE IS MY LETTER TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION

Here are the comments I have received.

UPDATE: HERE IS THE LINK TO THE SLIDES FROM MONDAY, AUGUST 18, at Highland High.

And, here is a link to the written transcript of the Q & A session after the presentation.

For those of you who missed the meeting, reading the slides and the Q and A should bring you up to speed.  Our letter to the city is due August 28 so I need your comments ASAP, so I have time to read and digest what we are all trying to convey about this project.  PLEASE USE FORM BELOW TO GIVE ME YOUR COMMENTS.

The developer of the Sugar House Hotel project, located at 2111 South 1300 East, is requesting a General Plan Amendment change to the General Plan for the subject property, from Mixed Use – Low Intensity (MULI) to Business District Mixed Use – Town Center Scale (BDMU-TC).  This project is the only developable parcel on the west side of 1300 South in this block.
